Anti-Corruption Commission Publishes Decision Regarding MP Aghajanyan

The Anti-Corruption Commission has completed its proceedings regarding the violation of incompatibility requirements by MP Eduard Aghajanyan, who is a member of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly.

The Commission was tasked with investigating whether Aghajanyan has managed 50% of the shares of "Exiped" LLC after taking up his parliamentary position.

It should be noted that according to Article 95 of the Constitution, a member of parliament cannot hold a position in state or local self-government bodies that is not conditioned by their status, hold any position in commercial organizations, engage in entrepreneurial activities, or perform paid work, except for scientific, educational, and creative activities.

Through the data acquired during the proceedings and the documents submitted by Aghajanyan, it has been established that the MP entrusted the management of 50% of the shares of "Exiped" LLC to a trust management scheme for a period of 3 years, starting May 10, 2018. Due to the expiration of the contract on May 10, 2021, a corresponding agreement was made on May 7, 2021, extending the trust management of the company’s shares for another 3 years (until May 10, 2024).

According to the Commission, Eduard Aghajanyan assumed his position as an MP on August 2, 2021, while the 50% shareholding in the company had already been entrusted to trust management when he took up the parliamentary position.
