Investigators Lack Evidence of Azerbaijani Involvement in Copper-Molybdenum Employee Murder

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has stated that it has no data regarding the involvement of Azerbaijanis in the murder of an employee of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZPCM). This information was provided by the investigative committee.

Earlier, media reports had suggested that law enforcement considered the commission of the crime by Azerbaijanis as the main hypothesis.

It is noted that the investigation is underway at the Syunik regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia to clarify the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 56-year-old man at a security post of the ZPCM located in the Shgharkh community of Kapan.

During the inspection of the crime scene, the body of the 56-year-old man was discovered in front of a mobile cabin at the second group’s support point, showing gunshot wounds to the chest and a blind gunshot wound to the right temporal region of the head.
