Are the Azerbaijanis Involved? One of the Main Theories in the Case of the 57-Year-Old Guard Murdered in Syunik

On April 12, a 57-year-old guard was found murdered at the checkpoint of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine. According to NEWS.am, one of the main theories being investigated by law enforcement is that the murder may be connected to Azerbaijanis. It is noteworthy that the Investigative Committee is handling this case.

The murder occurred with the use of firearms. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, six gunshot wounds were found on the body, including in the head and abdominal areas. A criminal case has been initiated based on the characteristics of the murder, and a forensic examination of the body has been ordered.

Earlier, we reported that the murdered guard was Hayrapet Meliksetyan from the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, who worked on the pipeline leading to the tailings in Shgharshik. Shgharshik is one of the districts of Kapan.
