Another Manifestation of Azerbaijan's Aggressive Policy: Mirzoyan to US Deputy Secretary of State
On April 12, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Derek Hogan, the acting Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two discussed regional security issues. Minister Mirzoyan presented details of a provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces the day before near the village of Tegh in Armenia's Syunik Province, noting that it was yet another manifestation of Azerbaijan's overall aggressive policy and aimed at disrupting efforts to continue peaceful negotiations.
Thoughts were exchanged concerning the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the peace process and outlined the Armenian side's approaches to resolving the existing issues.
