VIDEO: Pashinyan Reveals New Details About Second Azerbaijani Soldier Who Crossed Armenian Border

It is by no means certain that the Azerbaijani serviceman who crossed the Armenian border wants to return to Azerbaijan. This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly.

"According to the investigative actions conducted, it is evident that the Azerbaijani army soldier fled their positions along with a fellow serviceman due to humiliation and pressure from other comrades. Based on the information we have, the second soldier, who is being sought, stated in a border village shortly after crossing the border that he regretted it and wanted to return. At least at this moment, the soldier has not expressed a desire to go back," said Pashinyan.

He noted that there are discussions about how the soldiers were able to cross the border unhindered and reach Armenia, which is an issue that needs to be examined separately to draw conclusions for ensuring border security.

The Prime Minister mentioned that, according to their information, the second soldier regretted crossing the border shortly after and had returned.

Recall that on April 10, Azerbaijanis were found in the Bnunis community of Sisian. One of the residents rang the doorbell, and the woman who opened the door immediately contacted the police. Later, the Ministry of Defense confirmed the information, stating that one Azerbaijani serviceman was found and arrested in Armenian territory, while another one is being searched for.
