Use of Force is Unacceptable: US State Department
In response to a query from the Armenian service of "Voices of America" regarding the recent fatal clash between the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan near the village of Tegh, the US State Department labeled the use of force as "unacceptable" for resolving disputes, emphasizing that it disrupts the negotiation process.
In its response, the State Department stated: "We regret the fatal clash on April 11 involving Armenian and Azerbaijani forces, which resulted in several casualties. We extend our condolences to the families of the deceased and injured. The conflict cannot have a military solution, and the use of force to resolve disputes is unacceptable. The only path to sustainable peace is at the negotiating table, and the use of force disrupts negotiations," the US State Department noted in its response.
