Narek Gagiki Sargsyan, Who Died in Tegh, Was from the Sevan Community
On April 11, during a shootout in the border village of Tegh in the Syunik province of the Republic of Armenia, one of the four victims from the Armenian side, Narek Sargsyan, was from Sevan city in the Gegharkunik province and served as a special forces operative.
According to the Sevan community administration, Narek Gagiki Sargsyan was unmarried and would have turned 29 in June. He was one of three brothers, being the middle child. His mother, Armine Ghukasyan, worked for many years as a teacher of Russian language and literature at a local school.
After graduating from Sevan primary school, Narek enrolled in Sevan College, specializing in programming. "Narek was an honest, intelligent, modest, organized, family-oriented guy, a special forces operative. Since 2017, he had always been present in the hottest spots where he was needed. He never spoke about himself, but we knew he was one of the devoted defenders of our homeland. Our hero has embarked on the path of light and eternity during his service, having become a protector of his homeland, who understood the value of this land and peace well," said Armine Ghukasyan, the secretary of the Sevan community administration.
