Who is Nareen, the woman who threw an umbrella at Pashinyan? Details

A woman who threw an umbrella at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Vayots Dzor region was arrested the day before but was later released. The Investigative Committee issued a statement indicating that the 47-year-old woman is from Kashatagh and has been relocated to the village of Malishka.

According to MediaHub, Nareen was born in Yerevan and moved to Kashatagh with her family in the early 2000s, living in the village of Karegah, which came entirely under enemy control last August. Nareen, a mother of many, currently resides with her family in Malishka. Her only son participated in the April Four-Day War.

One of Nareen's neighbors, who wished to remain anonymous, described them as a calm and balanced family, noting they have never exhibited any excessive or inadequate behavior. “Nareen's two children are in Malishka, while the others, if I’m not mistaken, are in Yerevan, each with their own family. She does everything for the children living here to have a good future. Well, what else could she do? They lost their home, left it to the enemy, so it's clear she would react this way upon seeing the number one culprit in all this. If it were any of us, we would act the same. I regret that a criminal case has been initiated. It feels like she committed a major crime... But why was there no accountability for surrendering half of Artsakh without any complaints?” the neighbor stated.

The media's source also confidently conveyed that Nareen does not regret her actions. Meanwhile, Musheg Alaverdyan, the head of the Kashatagh district administration, noted that everyone has a good opinion about the family.

“I spoke with her husband yesterday, but I really think the case will be closed. They are a very calm family, and during these months, they have tried to do everything for their children to be well. They moved to Malishka six months ago, trying to organize their lives. Suren, the father of the family, was engaged in beekeeping, but according to my latest information, neither of them is working,” he added.
