Who Wouldn't Be Afraid: Mrs. Shushik Tells How Azerbaijanis Tried to Enter Their Home
Late last night in the community of Bnunis, Sisian, Azerbaijani individuals attempted to enter the home of one of the residents. The resident became suspicious and alerted the police. They were dressed in military uniforms.
Hraparak.am was able to confirm that the Azerbaijanis tried to enter the Mathevosyan's home, and the door was opened by Mrs. Shushik, who did not wish to share details about the unpleasant incident in our conversation. “Please, let me calm down... Who wouldn't be afraid? Yes, I was scared,” she recounted.
She explained that she opened the door, and her unwanted visitors said nothing, but she could tell from their appearance that they were Azerbaijanis. She raised her voice and called the police. “They didn’t say anything, but everything was clear. My family members were at home, but I opened the door,” she noted.
The woman mentioned that there were three of them. Media sources in Sisian informed us that later, in another locality, law enforcement found one of the Azerbaijanis and took him to the Sisian police station, while the other two fled. The Sisian police department confirmed the fact of the Azerbaijanis' intrusion but did not provide further details. When asked if it was true that two had fled, they said, “Whoever said there were three might be suggesting there were six; I said I can’t provide more details.”
According to circulating reports, the Azerbaijani in police custody claimed he had mistaken the area.
