“We do not have a quorum. Based on the 2nd subpoint of Article 114 of the council's regulations, a 30-minute recess is declared,” said Levon Hovhannisyan, the acting mayor of Yerevan.

It is worth recalling that today’s meeting of the council is dedicated to the issue of the extraordinary election of the mayor. It was also noted that during the previous meeting, member of the 'My Step' faction Armen Galjyan announced that the faction has decided not to elect a new mayor at this time, given that there are only a few months left until the elections.

“At this point, we will not elect a new mayor and, therefore, we will not be present at the meeting on the election day, because there will be no candidate, and there will be no necessity for discussion and voting,” he stated.
