Rubinyan Announced When the Border with Turkey Will Open for Citizens of Third Countries
In a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia's Special Representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey, noted that there is an agreement for the Armenian-Turkish land border to open in early summer for citizens of third countries and individuals with diplomatic passports.
"The Armenian side is working on equipping and upgrading the Margar crossing point, which also involves creating infrastructure. In other words, work is underway so that by the beginning of summer, we are ready to fulfill the agreements on our part," he said.
Rubinyan mentioned that the Turkish side is also preparing for this. At least, there has been no claim that the agreement is not in effect. According to him, there are currently no scheduled meetings of special representatives.
Speaking about the joint restoration of the Ani Bridge, Rubinyan noted that there has been no practical progress on that front yet.
