Earthquake at Iran-Turkey Border Felt in Yerevan
On April 11, at 14:31 local time (10:31 GMT), a magnitude 4.3 earthquake was recorded by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations Seismological Network. The epicenter was located at coordinates 39.45° N latitude and 44.49° E longitude, approximately 7 km northeast of the city of Maku, at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity of the tremors in the epicentral area reached 5-6 points on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt in Yerevan at a magnitude of 2 points and in the Ararat region with an intensity of 3 points.
