Armenian Lawmaker Discusses Proposed Meetings with Azerbaijani Side

The Artsakh side has proposed a meeting with the Azerbaijani side to discuss issues related to infrastructure, roads, electricity, and gas supply. This was stated to 24News by Arthur Harutyunyan, the head of the 'Free Homeland - KMD' faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh.

“We plan to discuss humanitarian issues. Not political matters, as presented by Azerbaijan in recent meetings,” clarified the lawmaker.

“We have stated that we are ready to meet, discuss, and negotiate, but according to the agenda that was announced,” emphasized Arthur Harutyunyan. He mentioned that the proposal has already been conveyed, but there has been no response yet: “Today we submitted the proposal to the Azerbaijani side through Russian peacekeepers; we still have not received any response. The proposal clearly states that it pertains to humanitarian issues.”

Harutyunyan also noted that he will not participate in this meeting, adding that he does not have information on who from the Artsakh side will be attending.

Today, the Artsakh Information Headquarters announced that the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have passed a proposal to the Azerbaijani side, through the mediation of the Russian Federation's peacekeeping mission, to hold a meeting at the location of the peacekeeping forces and the command of the troops to discuss urgent humanitarian issues.
