VIDEO. Pine Forests, Woodland Areas, and Rock Gardens to Be Established Around Lake Yerevan

The regular operational consultation of the Yerevan City Hall has begun. The director of the 'Greenery and Environmental Protection' SNCO, Armen Begoyan, reported that the cleaning work in the area adjacent to Lake Yerevan has been completed.

“Sanitary pruning and the cutting down of dried trees have been finished. About 40 truckloads of materials have been removed from there. Mapping has been done, and currently, these areas are in the design phase by architects,” noted Begoyan.

According to the director of the 'Greenery and Environmental Protection' SNCO, the plan mainly includes the establishment of pine forests, light woodland areas, and rock gardens.

In response to Tigran Avinyan's question about when the project will be ready, Armen Begoyan added that it will be completed in two weeks.
