Charges Filed Against Narek Samsonian

The Investigative Committee has reported that a video titled "He struck on the forehead, knocked him to the ground; whose project is Edgar Ghazaryan? 'Imnemi' podcast #05" was published on the website AntFake.am, containing calls for violence and justifications for violence.

Following this, a criminal case was initiated on April 6, 2023, under the third part of the second clause of Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. During the preliminary investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee's Arabkir administrative district, factual information was obtained regarding the publication of this video on April 1, 2023, which includes public calls for violence and justifications for violence.

Particularly, during the report, the individual N.S. made the following statements: "I want to say that I support Mher, I welcome what Mher has done, I highly appreciate what Mher has done because Mher has done something that should have been done long ago and should generally be done more often," and "I wish Mher a speedy release, I welcome him, I send him strength and encourage other deputies to follow Mher Sahakyan's example. Do not let the dogs attack and bite you. There are numerous examples of physically eliminating a rabid dog to prevent it, one of which Mher has shown to all of you."

On April 10, a motion was filed with the supervising prosecutor for a public criminal prosecution against N.S. under the third part of the second clause of Article 330 of the Criminal Code, which was approved, and charges were presented to him.

As a preventive measure, a ban on absence has been applied to the accused.
