VIDEO: Manukyan Explained on Paper What Is Happening in Tegh Village

It has been agreed that Armenian border guards should be stationed on one side, while Azerbaijani border guards take position on the other. Gegham Manukyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, mentioned this during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly today, April 7, after recently returning from the Tegh community in Syunik.

He illustrated on paper what has actually happened at the border. “At least a person with a little sense, when such arrangements are made, takes preventive measures to ensure that their border guards are stationed at those points. But what happened? The Azerbaijani came, saw that there were no people here, moved forward, and reached the borders of Tegh village, seizing Armenian lands and the villagers' property. What are they negotiating about now? If the leader of a country had a brain, security measures would be taken, and the Azerbaijani could not have come. The person has allowed the Turk to sit in Armenian territory, and now he is trying to reach some agreement on certain issues? Unfortunately, we have three years of bitter experience that where the Turks sit, it is very difficult to remove them. In the case of this government, it becomes impossible to remove them,” he stated.

It is recalled that according to the NSS statement, during the deployment of Azerbaijani armed forces near Tegh village, there have been misinterpretations of the maps. In some areas, the Azerbaijani side began to position itself and carry out engineering work without waiting for previously agreed clarifications.
