Immediate Signing of Peace Treaty Between Armenia and Azerbaijan is Essential: Cavusoglu

Turkey considers the prompt signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan to be necessary. This statement was made today by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu following negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Ankara, as reported by TASS.

“We have discussed issues regarding the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are in favor of the immediate signing of a peace treaty between the two countries. We will continue consultations on this matter, including with Russia,” said Cavusoglu.

It is noteworthy that Lavrov traveled to Turkey yesterday, on April 6. The foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed bilateral issues, the grain agreement, and the prevailing situation in Ukraine.
