Video: "We are putting an end to the logic of beans and rice," says Nikol Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed charity at a government meeting. According to him, the practice of turning state enterprises into objects of charity must come to an end. He noted that there are people who want to do charity work.

Pashinyan stated that he prohibits any state institution from accepting any charity.

“We are putting an end to the beans and rice logic altogether. Whoever wants to do charity should participate in the implementation of government strategic programs. They should apply to the ministry, and the ministry will tell them where they can direct their funds, because there are special charitable chairs that are featured in the reports, and as soon as the report ends, the chair breaks,” he said.

He warned that those who fail to adhere to this directive will face serious consequences. “I do not want to see in any state institution that someone has given beans, someone has given rice, and that someone else has brought an original Leonardo da Vinci painting and hung it in the teachers' room.”
