Video: Pashinyan on Preventing Artsakh Residents from Returning Home

During a government session, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the recent incident in which Azerbaijanis prevented residents traveling from Goris to Stepanakert from returning to their homes.

“The previous day witnessed another outrageous incident where a group of residents from Artsakh, who were on their way from Goris to Stepanakert, were not allowed to return to their homes. This documented situation once again highlights the assessments we have voiced in the past, which are exacerbated against the backdrop of the International Court of Justice's ruling,” Pashinyan stated.

He emphasized the need to continue international diplomatic efforts toward enforcing the court's decision. Pashinyan added that the humanitarian situation in Artsakh remains tense due to the closure of the Lachin corridor. Gas and electricity supplies to Artsakh continue to be halted.

It is worth noting that Russian peacekeepers attempted to transport 27 citizens, including women and the elderly, from Goris to Stepanakert on April 4. However, Azerbaijani “eco-activists” blocked the movement of vehicles in the section of the Lachin corridor they have seized. As a result of Azerbaijani intervention, the health of four women deteriorated, three of whom lost consciousness, leading to their transport to Stepanakert hospital by Azerbaijani ambulance vehicles that arrived from Shushi.
