PHOTO REPORT: Turkish Cesme Resort Beaches Covered in Snow

On Thursday, sudden hail and snow fell in the Turkish resort of Cesme located along the Aegean Sea, as reported by Mayor Tunç Soyuer on Twitter.

"Such an April image indicates that the climate crisis is not knocking at our doors, but is already present in our lives," Soyuer wrote.

According to him, hail and snow accompanied by storm winds have fallen in three neighborhoods of Cesme.

"Our firefighters have assisted those whose vehicles were stuck in the snow, as well as removed the aftermath of the disaster," the mayor said.
