Bodies of a Couple Discovered in a House in Vardenik Village

Today, on April 6, a tragic incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 10:30 AM, the police department of Martuni received a call from a citizen reporting that there were bodies in one of the houses on Street 17 in Vardenik village. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

At the scene, the area was cordoned off by platoon commander Grisha Gabrielian, along with patrol officers Nzhdeh Vardanian and Hayk Gevorgyan, to allow the investigative team to work.

Police and investigators found the bodies of 86-year-old Avetik H. and 67-year-old Anahit in the bathroom of the mentioned house.

According to the preliminary conclusion from the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the bodies during the external examination.

By the investigator's decision, several forensic examinations have been scheduled, including a forensic medical examination of the bodies.

According to photojournalist information, the deceased were a couple, and the cause of death was carbon monoxide gas from the bathroom. They were discovered by a relative.
