Government Allocates 440 Million Drams for Establishing 40 Educational Complexes in Syunik
The government has allocated over 440 million drams for the preparatory work to construct 40 educational complexes in the Syunik region. This was announced by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan during a government meeting where the relevant project was presented.
“Last year, the Prime Minister approved the program for ensuring quality educational services in the Syunik region, which includes establishing educational complexes in rural areas of Syunik. These complexes will offer both school and preschool education programs, as well as non-formal education for children and adults. The educational complexes will be equipped with necessary laboratories, technologies, and other facilities, and will have a gymnasium and assembly hall that will also serve as cultural and sports venues for the community, thus transforming the educational complex into a community center,” said Andreasyan.
According to the Minister, 40 rural locations have been identified where the educational complexes will operate. They will also serve as educational centers for preschool and school-age children from surrounding areas, who will be transported to the complexes via specially procured vehicles, accompanied by a supervisor. Routes connecting the educational complexes to surrounding areas have also been established during the planning process.
“To create 40 educational complexes, more than 440 million drams are planned to be allocated,” Andreasyan noted.
