VIDEO: 'Mr. Clown' - Members of the ruling party leave the hall
The extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Commission on Human Rights and Public Affairs, where candidates for the Human Rights Defender are presented, continues in a rather tense atmosphere.
During his speech, Edgar Ghazaryan, the opposition's united candidate, stated, 'The reality that has emerged in our country - the obvious decline of democratic institutions and human rights - has occurred as a result of the Azerbaijani-Turkish revolution in 2018 in Armenia.' This remark disrupted the attending members of the ruling party and escalated the situation.
They demanded that Ghazaryan apologize. Arthur Hovhannisyan, a member of the ruling party in the commission, responded, 'Who do you think you are? We will cut the tongue of anyone who dares to call our people some Azerbaijani-Turkish group, listen, kid. Do not cross the line.' More details can be seen in the video.
