Denmark and Norway Jointly Supply 8000 Artillery Shells to Ukraine

Denmark and Norway have agreed to jointly supply 8,000 artillery shells to Ukraine, as reported by Bloomberg, citing the Danish Ministry of Defense.

In particular, Norway will deliver the shells directly to Kyiv, while Denmark will provide fuzes, special shells for artillery ammunition sets, and cartridges.

At the EU summit at the end of March, EU leaders reached an agreement on plans for the immediate supply of 1 million artillery munitions to Kyiv over the next 12 months.

Previously, Armin Papperger, CEO of German defense concern Rheinmetall AG, announced that Ukraine had requested the EU to supply 250,000 shells per month. However, he noted that producing such a volume of munitions would be challenging.
