Pentagon Removes Armenia from List of Participants in Major U.S. Military Exercises

Armenia's name has been removed from the list of countries participating in large-scale military exercises led by the United States in Europe.

Earlier today, we reported that nearly 9,000 American servicemen would participate in the Defender-23 exercises, set to commence on April 22.

A statement published on the Pentagon's website previously included Armenia among the participating countries.

"In addition to the U.S., military personnel from Armenia, Georgia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom will participate," the site had stated.

However, the text of the official announcement on the Pentagon's website was later modified, and Armenia has been removed from the list of participating countries.
