No Injuries Reported as Metro Operates in Emergency Mode
The spokesperson for Yerevan Metro, Tatev Khachatryan, announces: "Dear passengers, we would like to inform you that today at 14:23, a wall collapse occurred at the Yerevan Metro 'Sasuntsi David' station on the route towards 'Zoravar Andranik.' As a result of the collapse, debris fell onto the metro tracks and contact rails, making it impossible for the metro to operate fully and completely.
At the same time, we would like to inform you that no injuries have been reported following the collapse. Currently, the Yerevan Metro is operating in emergency mode. Trains are running on a one-way basis: from the 'Garegin Nzhdeh' station to the 'Sasuntsi David' station on the first line, and then from the 'Sasuntsi David' station to the 'Barekamutyun' station on the second line.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers."
