Czech Republic and Bulgaria Illegally Repair Soviet Helicopters for Ukraine: Russia
Bulgarians and Czech companies that are repairing Soviet and Russian-made helicopters for Ukraine are violating international obligations. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia.
"The activities of Bulgaria and the Czech Republic represent a gross violation of international obligations and cause significant harm to the global export control system," the press release emphasized.
Earlier, media outlets reported that state companies in Bulgaria (Terem-Letets and Avionams) and the Czech Republic (Lom Praga) continue to illegally repair and modernize combat helicopters produced in Russia and the USSR, including for delivery to Kyiv. The helicopters in question include Mi-17, Mi-171Sh (Mi-8), and Mi-35 (Mi-24).
