"6 Out of 8 Workers Were Women": Berdashen Resident on Today's Gunfire Incident
The Azerbaijani armed forces targeted 8 peaceful residents working in the vineyards of the Berdashen community in Artsakh's Martuni region this morning, March 30. In an interview with NEWS.am, resident Senorik Alaverdyan recounted that he was working farther away from the others when the gunfire began.
“We were working in the vineyard with 8 people. The other 7 workers, of whom 6 were women, were working a bit farther away from me. At that moment, we took the women home and stopped the work,” the resident explained.
He also noted that gunfire has become more frequent in recent days. “Just a few days ago, they shot at us as well.” Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh reported that on March 30, around 08:30, residents Senorik Alaverdyan and Genadi Sargsyan were targeted by soldiers stationed at a nearby Azerbaijani combat position while they were engaged in agricultural work in the vineyard named 'Asphalt Under' in the administrative area of the village. They opened fire with small arms at the peaceful residents of Artsakh, which led to a halt in agricultural activities.
