Earthquakes in Iran and Turkey
On Wednesday, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in northeastern Iran. This was reported by TASS, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The epicenter of the disaster was located 13 km east of the city of Shirvan, which has a population of around 83,000. The focus was at a depth of 10 km.
No information on casualties or damage has been received.
On Wednesday, several earthquakes were also recorded in Turkey. In the evening, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey.
It is noteworthy that earlier today, another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 was registered near the city of Malatya in Turkey's eastern provinces. The focus of this earthquake was also at a depth of 10 km.
