Azerbaijan is Heading Towards a Sharp Deterioration of Relations with Iran: Abovyan

Azerbaijan is resolutely moving towards a sharp deterioration of relations with Iran. This was stated by former MP of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Arman Abovyan, on his Facebook page.

He also noted: “There are mass arrests; for example, today a group of Talysh people has been detained, there is a persecution of Iran-friendly Shia Muslim leaders, and a scornful vocabulary directed at Iranian spiritual leaders and people. Of course, Azerbaijan is a direct puppet of Israel, but the Iranians will certainly not forget this Turkish insolence.

And still, why are the ‘non-violent, velvet, popular’ authorities of Armenia not expanding military cooperation with Iran if they talk about sovereignty from morning to evening? Especially since the Iranians have already grown tired of subtly conveying this to us. Are you afraid that anti-Iranian centers could turn against you?”
