We Have Started to Say to Unfounded Demands from Russia, 'Sorry, They Are Unfounded' - Arsenyan
A member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, Gurgen Arsenyan, announced during a session of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations that he believes there is discontent from the Russian side towards the Armenian authorities because Armenia has started to defend its national interests in bilateral relations and reject unfounded demands.
“We have not broken or spoiled any relations with Russia, we have not rendered any contract void or canceled it; we have simply started to say regarding the unfounded demands presented to us, ‘Sorry, they are unfounded,’” Arsenyan stated.
The MP called on the opposition to support this model so that it can also be preserved in the future, even in the case of a change of government. “We are not a forever government; one day the government will change, but this model, when mutual interests are considered during bilateral discussions, will remain,” Arsenyan added.
