Russian Proposal Indicates Future Clarification of Status Rejected by Azerbaijan: Mirzoyan
During an extraordinary session of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the definitions regarding Russia's proposal to leave the issue of Artsakh for the future, while the West insists on resolving it now, are not accurate, at least concerning the West.
“The Russian version implies a future clarification of status, which has been rejected by Azerbaijan. The negotiation process in which we are involved requires the creation of an international mechanism to address the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh, under which discussions on the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh will take place in the context of direct dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert,” said Mirzoyan.
