VIDEO: 'Day of Paralyzing the Country': Protesters in Israel Plan to Halt Traffic in Most Parts of the Country
Israeli protesters have declared today as the "day of paralyzing the country."
Protesters have taken to the streets since morning. They plan to block dozens of roads, bringing traffic to a standstill across much of the country. Near Tel Aviv, tires are already being set on fire on the road.
It is worth noting that the protests are in response to a proposed judicial reform by the new government. This reform aims to limit the powers of the Supreme Court and grant control over the selection of judges to the executive branch of government. The opposition argues that this reform undermines the democratic foundations of the state.
