Shortly After US Statement, Azerbaijani Forces Open Fire and Kill Armenian Soldier: Marukyan

Armenia's Special Representative for Special Assignments Edmon Marukyan has addressed the statement made by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council of the White House, who noted that the US calls on both parties to de-escalate tensions.

"Shortly after this US statement, Azerbaijani forces fired upon and killed an Armenian soldier in Armenia's sovereign territory. The practice of equating the aggressor and the victim of that aggression is unacceptable and encourages the aggressor," wrote Marukyan.
