"The Constitutional Court is undoubtedly a toy in the hands of this government" - Gegham Manukyan

“No one has fallen behind Seda Safaryan; she has fallen behind herself. There is simply an attempt to maintain the RA Constitutional Court as a Constitutional Court, so that when a citizen appeals to the CC, they don’t have any doubts about the decision of that institution,” said Gegham Manukyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, during the discussion of the draft to terminate the powers of CC judge Seda Safaryan in the National Assembly.

“It is obvious that the CC is a toy in the hands of this government. Here we have a legal issue: why did Seda Safaryan appoint her husband as a driver? Why is that question not being discussed?” Manukyan added, stating that “the Constitutional Court is a mere executor of the government’s will.”
