Azerbaijan Denies Reports of Capturing Armenian Soldier
The information disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia regarding the alleged capture of an Armenian soldier by Azerbaijani military units is false. This statement was released by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
“The information spread by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, claiming that on March 21, a soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces reportedly lost his way in a vehicle and approached the positions of Azerbaijani military units and was captured by our units, is false,” the ministry stated.
This may indicate that Azerbaijan intends to conceal the presence of our serviceman in the area under its control.
Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Defense issued a statement noting that on March 21, around 12:20 PM, an Armenian Armed Forces soldier identified as M.G., while transporting food to a combat post in poor visibility and foggy conditions, reportedly lost his way and ended up in an area under Azerbaijani control.
Search and rescue operations were immediately initiated, and efforts are underway to confirm the soldier's presence in the area under Azerbaijani control and to facilitate his return.
