Russia Will Respond to Ukraine's Armed Forces Supplying Nuclear Component Weapons – Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow will be compelled to respond to Kyiv's supply of weapons with nuclear components. This remark comes in response to information regarding plans by Ukraine's armed forces to provide munitions containing depleted uranium. He noted that the West seems to have indeed decided to fight against Russia to the last Ukrainian. This is reported by РИА Новости.
On Tuesday, March 21, British Deputy Defense Minister Anabelle Goldie announced that London will be transferring a batch of depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine as part of a military assistance package.
Experts highlight that the main danger of such munitions lies in the dust released over time, which could theoretically contaminate the surrounding environment or poison individuals.
Such weaponry has been used during the bombing of Yugoslavia, the “Desert Storm” operation, and in the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
