Earthquake in Iran: What We Know
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake has struck the northern region of Iran. This information was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 161 km northeast of the city of Sari, which has a population of 255,000, and 56 km north of the city of Gorgan, which has a population of 244,000. The quake's focus was at a depth of 40 km.
As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or damage resulting from the earthquake. It is noted that the tremors were felt as far away as Pakistan.
