NATO Countries Must Invest More Rapidly in Defense, Stoltenberg Urges

NATO allied countries have increased their defense spending since 2014, which is a step in the right direction. This was reported by Interfax, citing a statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“But this is not happening fast enough, as required by the dangerous world in which we live,” the head of the North Atlantic Alliance stated during a press conference regarding the 2022 Secretary General's annual report.

“And while I welcome the progress made, it is clear that we need to do more and do it quickly,” Stoltenberg added.
