4 Victories: Armenian Female Chess Player Defeats Azerbaijani Competitor
In the third round of the 23rd European Individual Women’s Chess Championship taking place in Petrovac, Montenegro, four out of six Armenian representatives celebrated victories, as reported by the Chess Federation.
The winners include Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Susanna Gaboyan, and Polina Kobak. Anna Sargsyan played to a draw, while Mariam Mkrtchyan suffered a defeat.
It is noteworthy that Polina Kobak triumphed over a chess player representing Azerbaijan in this round.
Elina Danielyan and Lilit Mkrtchyan have earned 2.5 points each, trailing slightly behind the leaders. Mariam Mkrtchyan and Polina Kobak have 2 points each, while Sargsyan and Gaboyan have gained 1.5 points each.
It is important to mention that the European Championship will consist of 11 rounds.
