VIDEO: Casualties Reported from Fire at Border Guard Office in Rostov-on-Don

A fire broke out at the local office of the Federal Security Service's border guard division located at 20 Siversa Street in Rostov-on-Don. Firefighters and emergency service teams are currently working at the scene.

Reports indicate that rescuers have discovered two injured men near the entrance to the storage area. One of them is in serious condition and has been hospitalized with burns, fractures, and a head injury, according to Readovka.

There may still be people trapped in the basement of the building. Preliminary data suggests that the cause of the fire was electrical wiring igniting. The flames spread through fuel and explosive materials stored there, including about 10 tons of fuel, lubricants, paints, and varnishes.

The personnel could not extinguish the fire themselves, and the affected area now exceeds 800 square meters. Law enforcement agencies report that munitions continue to explode in the storage, and the building remains engulfed in flames. There are also burning fuel tanks near the munitions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has requested armored shields for protection against shrapnel. An armored tank has been brought to the scene.

Earlier today, information was received that the building of the Federal Security Service's border guards is on fire in Rostov-on-Don.
