18+ VIDEO: Gunfire Opens on Protesters in Azerbaijan

Gunfire has been reported against protesters in Azerbaijan. The protesters were carrying out a peaceful demonstration in several villages due to a lack of water supply.

This incident further highlights the harsh suppression of even peaceful actions in Baku against the backdrop of the so-called 'eco-activism' in Artsakh. While Azerbaijani 'eco-activists' have been keeping 120,000 residents of Artsakh under blockade for 93 days on the orders of their authorities, the people in Azerbaijan are subjected to the regime's brutal violence.

Azerbaijani blogger and creator of the Diktator television project, Manaf Jalilzadeh, has released a video showing a resident of the Saatli region injured by rubber bullets fired by the Azerbaijani police during a protest the previous day over the lack of water.

Against the backdrop of such gross human rights violations, Azerbaijan continues its attempts to portray Armenia and Artsakh as the aggressor, while the facts prove otherwise.

Earlier, it was reported that residents of the Nabatekend and Orta Mughan villages in the Saatli region of Azerbaijan attempted to block the main road towards Baku today, protesting against the lack of water.
