Papikyan Received CSTO Secretary General, Discussed Border Situation

Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met today with the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit. Papikyan announced this on his Facebook page, noting that they exchanged views on a number of international and regional security issues, including the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the geopolitical context surrounding Armenia.

Regarding the border situation, the defense minister outlined the long-standing issues related to the activation of the CSTO collective defense mechanisms and the expectations of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
