Earthquake Felt in Artsakh
An earthquake that occurred in Iran was also felt in Artsakh. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Artsakh.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.1, occurred on March 16, 2023, at 15:47 local time (11:47 GMT), at a depth of 10 km, 41 km southwest of the city of Khoy, Iran (geographical coordinates: 38.32° N latitude, 45.32° E longitude). The tremors were felt in the regions of Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Ararat, as well as in the city of Yerevan and the territory of the Republic of Artsakh.
Previously, it was reported that the 5.1 magnitude earthquake in Iran was also felt in Armenia. The intensity of the seismic shock in the epicenter zone reached 7 points.
