Video: 'We are creating large green areas in Yerevan,' Tigran Avinyan

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan shared details regarding the cleaning and renovation of parks in the capital during a city council session: "In the Mergerian Park, we are completely cleaning the constructions and kiosks that have been there for 30 years, and we will have a well-maintained park in Mergerian. The area adjacent to Komitas market is also being improved, which will feature a green area and a modern shopping center.

Significant cleaning operations are also underway at the Circular Park. We will soon present the complete project for the fourth section of the circular park, which I believe will be the most interesting among the presented projects. A reconstruction project has already been presented to the public near the Torq Angheghi monument. In Nor-Nork, we have another park reconstruction project. In Malatia-Sebastia, there is a project dedicated to the 40th anniversary of a park and memorial reconstruction, and this is just the beginning. We have further projects in various administrative districts that we will present regularly," Avinyan said.

According to him, in some cases, the work will begin this year: "We will witness the reconstructed parks this year." Avinyan also emphasized that intensive forestry planting activities continue in Yerevan: "We are creating large green areas. The possibility of conducting forestry planting in the Norq slopes is also being considered."
