Surik Papikyan Discusses His Recent Property Purchase

Armenian Defense Minister Surik Papikyan has assured that he will definitely submit a declaration to clarify how he acquired his new apartment. He made this statement during a briefing with reporters.

It is noteworthy that media outlets have reported that Surik Papikyan purchased an expensive apartment in the center of Yerevan, covering an area of 165 square meters, with a current market price of $412,000. Six months ago, at the time of the transaction, the apartment was valued at $168,000.

“I will present the declaration detailing where I got the money from, whom I borrowed from, what loan I took out from the bank, and how much the down payment was, as well as how it all came together. I will also disclose whether I earn that much salary or whether I had that amount in my account or not. Everything will be published. The current declaration is from 2021. I lived, worked, and earned money in 2022 for about a year. Now it is 2023,” noted Papikyan.

It should be recalled that during a press conference held yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was asked about Papikyan's newly acquired apartment, to which he responded that it is great and that Papikyan should feel free to make such a purchase as he has a new family.
