Putin Proposes How to Respond to Western Sanctions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a response to the Western sanctions imposed against the country. He presented his stance on the issue during an expanded meeting of the Prosecutor General's Office, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Putin noted that in recent years Russia has faced sanction aggression, yet the domestic economy and businesses are responding honorably to the emerging challenges.

The president urged prosecutors to support entrepreneurs and assist in eliminating unnecessary administrative obstacles.

“We must respond to all actions of our adversaries with a singular option: the expansion of economic freedoms,” proposed Putin. He called this a delicate task and reminded that everything must be carried out within the framework of the law.

Earlier, Putin stated that the difficulties in 2022 had been beneficial for the Russian economy. According to him, the country’s economic sovereignty has increased several times.
