Ukraine Asks Finland to Transfer Four Allegro Trains
Finnish VR railway company received a request from Ukrainian railways on Tuesday to transfer four Allegro trains, as reported by the STT Finnish news agency.
"Ukraine has asked Finland to transfer four Allegro trains," the message stated, noting that VR received the request on Tuesday morning.
The Allegro trains are manufactured in Italy, have a maximum speed of up to 220 km/h, and consist of seven cars. Four Allegro trains were operated from 2010 to 2022 by Karelian Trains on the route between Helsinki and St. Petersburg. The trains belong to VR and Russian Railways.
