Video: Birthday Gathering Ends in Murder; Suspect is Son of Russian MP

On March 12, Izvestia obtained footage from street surveillance cameras showing the first moments after a murder in the Moscow region. The son of a State Duma deputy, hockey player Artem Ivanyuzhenkov, is suspected in the murder.

The footage shows people carrying the injured young man and putting him into a car.

According to reports, the crime occurred in a café where a group of young people were celebrating a birthday. Another group was seated at a nearby table. At some point, the two groups merged, and everything was calm until a dispute broke out. During the altercation, one of the young men was stabbed and later died. Some eyewitnesses claim that the attacker was Artem Ivanyuzhenkov, who disappeared shortly after the incident.

The victim was identified as a citizen born in 1999. The motive for the crime is still unknown.
