Photos: Freight Train Hits Vehicle on Railway in Artashat

The Ararat regional crisis management center received information on March 12 at 03:35 about a traffic accident in the village of Vostan, where a vehicle collided with a train.

According to reports from the rescue service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, a firefighting and rescue squad from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It has been established that on the Artashat-Vostan highway, a vehicle of the "Toyota Prado" model (driver A. S., born in 1987) collided with a freight train on the railway passing through Artashat.

It is noted that before the rescuers arrived, the driver G. S. and passenger R. V. T. (born in 1977, a citizen of Georgia) were hospitalized at the "Artashat" medical center, where doctors assessed R. V. T.'s condition as serious, while G. S. refused medical assistance.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle from the power supply.
